PM Narendra Modi thanked voters via Twitter for giving BJP the majority in Gujarat & Himachal Pradesh.
PM Narendra Modi is the man of the moment! After BJP’s thumping victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections, PM Modi thanked voters for giving his party the majority. In what was being termed as the prestige battle between PM Modi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, the former has clearly emerged victorious. Taking to Twitter, PM Narendra Modi hailed his development agenda in his tweet: “Jeeta Vikas, Jeeta Gujarat” (Development wins, Gujarat wins). He highlighted the fact that his development agenda has worked wonders in Gujarat. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to form the government in Gujarat again as it is leading in 99 seats, while the Congress stands on 81.
“I bow to the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh for their affection and trust in BJP. I assure them that we will leave no stone unturned in furthering the development journey of these states and serve the people tirelessly,” PM Modi tweeted thanking people for making BJP victorious in the state. The Prime Minister lauded the efforts of party workers following BJP’s commendable victories in both the states. “Election results in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh indicate a strong support for politics of good governance and development. I salute the hardworking BJP Karyakartas in these states for their hard work which has led to these impressive victories,” PM Modi added in his tweet.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s saffron wave is riding high and Gujarat’s big mandate has cemented Modi’s reign. After a nervous start in the initial hours of voting today, BJP swung back into action in Gujarat and the trends showed a clear majority for BJP. Early trends indicated a neck and neck race in Gujarat giving slight jitters to BJP workers. In both Gujarat & Himachal Pradesh, PM Narendra Modi led the BJP campaign from the front. Four of the five exit-polls had predicted a win for the BJP. CM Vijay Rupani won from Rajkot West. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah who reached the party HQ a few minutes back also addressed the media in Delhi. As the BJP is set to win a sixth successive term in Gujarat, supporters all across the country celebrate by singing, dancing and lighting fireworks.
