Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat ahead of the assembly polls in the state is leaving no opportunity to launch an attack on Congress. Yogi Adityanath, during an interview with ABP News, took a jibe at Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi by saying, “Rahul ki nautanki Gujarat mein nahi chalegi (Rahul’s gimmick won’t work in Gujarat).” He said that the campaign by Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat is a hoax and the citizens of Gujarat won’t fall into the trap. The Uttar Pradesh CM added that Gujarat has witnessed fast-track development in the state under the Bharatiya Janata Party, thereby, BJP’s win in the state is certain.

He also reverted to Rahul’s attack by saying that Congress asks us an account of what we have done so far, I would like to remind him that his three generations have ruled Amethi and yet there is no collectorate and CMO office in the town. It was only a few days ago when BJP chief Amit Shah inaugurated the collectorate office in the town.

He also called Rahul’s visit to temple, an act to garner votes. He said that ‘Rahul has even denied the existence of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, then how can he visit temple out of faith’. On being asked about the anti-incumbency factor, he responded saying that anti-incumbency is a phenomenon which occurs at a place where the government is corrupt, while Gujarat has witnessed massive development during BJP’s rule.

Enumerating the developmental works in Gujarat, he said, the per capita income of the state has been raised from 14000 to 1,41,000 and the water crisis has also been resolved in the state by building the Narmada dam. He went on to say that electricity has reached to every village in the state. He concluded saying that, achieving the target of 150 seats, set by Amit Shah, in the upcoming polls will be a cakewalk for BJP, as the party has changed the face of Gujarat. He said that we have shown that we can win win an overwhelming majority in UP and Gujarat will also witness the same.
