We are confident that PM Modi will lead us in 2019 elections: BJP chief Amit Shah

In a series of tweets, Shah attributed the party's victory in Gujarat to Modi's popularity and the public welfare works carried by the Centre and the state government.

BJP chief Amit Shah in a press conference said the Bhartiya Janata Party’s victory in the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly polls is the win of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development agenda against the politics of casteism and appeasement. He also took to Twitter and tweeted the party’s victory in Gujarat to Modi’s popularity and the public welfare works carried by the Centre and the state government.

The victory of the BJP in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat assembly polls is a win of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development agenda against the politics of dynasty, casteism
and appeasement, he tweeted. Shah also thanked the people and party workers in both states and thanked them for reposing their faith in the BJP. The BJP chief also congratulated and complimented the party’s state leaders in both states for the victory.

At the press conference he said, “In 2019 also, we will get a big mandate from the public.” He continued, “We are confident that when we go into 2019 elections under the leadership of PM Modi we will once again get people’s support and Modi ji’s aim for the youth in 2022 will become a reality.”

He lauded the performance of BJP. He said, “In every election, BJP has improved its performance, and it’ll continue under PM Modi’s leadership.”

Amit Shah also thanked the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. He said, “Thanks to the people of #Gujarat, people of Gujarat and people of Himachal Pradesh to join their development tour to show their trust in Modi’s journey of development.” He continued, “This is a lesson to the parties which indulge in caste-politics and dynasty.”

Amit Shah was confident about the victory and said, “We won comfortably, increased our vote share. It was not a close contest at all.”

On former Congress member Mani Shankar Aiyar ‘neech’ comment, Amit Shah said, “We were at the receiving end of extremely bad campaigning. Look at the Mani Shankar Aiyar statement which was against the PM Modi.”

He also said, “We have got 8% more vote share than Congress. This is a big achievement.” Amit Shah was confident about the assembly elections in other states like Karnataka. He said, “We will win the upcoming assembly election in 4 states, including Karnataka.”
