While speaking to the press, he said, "Abhi toh kuch nahi bolunga kyunki woh haal hi mein adhyaksh bane hain lekin 'sar mundwate hi ole pade' (I will not say anything now because he became the president recently but 'as soon as he shaved his head, a hail storm came')"
The people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh have spoken their mind in the assembly elections held in the states on December 10 and 14. In both the states, people have favoured the Bharatiya Janata Party as the results of the elections were announced today. Reacting to the victory in the elections, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi. His jibe was directed at him being the Congress Party supremo at an event recently.
While speaking to the press, he said, “Abhi toh kuch nahi bolunga kyunki woh haal hi mein adhyaksh bane hain lekin ‘sar mundwate hi ole pade’ (I will not say anything now because he became the president recently but ‘as soon as he shaved his head, a hail storm came’)”
Today, while coming out of the parliament, he also flashed the victory symbol to the media, depicting the victory of BJP in the elections. In both states, PM Narendra Modi led the BJP campaign from the front.
Meanwhile, on December 17, the Union Minister Rajnath Singh while addressing a rally in Bengaluru said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is ready to challenge for power in the state in the upcoming assembly elections in Karnataka. He also said that the Congress government in Karnataka wants to divide its community to rule. He said, “I received information that even though there is no such regulation in the Constitution, Muslim community here was befooled with the reservation which was later out-ruled by the Court.”
On December 8, Rajnath Singh had said the violence perpetrated by insurgent groups in the Northeast has come done significantly — by 75 to 80 per cent. He also said the central government is committed to do its best to fulfill the aspirations of the Naga people for a brighter future but ruled out an integration of the Naga-inhabited areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur.
