Gujarat Kutch election result 2017 LIVE UPDATES from Abdasa, Mandvi, Bhuj, Anjar, Gandhidham (SC), Rapar constituencies: The Gujarat election campaign by the two rival parties – the Congress and the BJP saw the development debate taking the rear seat while individual attacks came to the fore. While on hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP boasted of the development works that the party has undertaken within the last 22 years, Rahul Gandhi led Congress highlighted the joblessness and the disrupt due to the demonetisation and the GST roll-out in the state. Now, the voters of Gujarat will decide if they want a change in the rule or they contend with the incumbent ruling party. Amongst a total of 182 constituencies, eighty-nine went to polls in Gujarat on December 9 in the first phase of the Assembly elections. The first phase covered Saurashtra-Kachchh and South Gujarat. The voter turnout was pegged at 68 per cent. Some areas including Rajkot, Rajpipla, Bhavnagar, Palitana, Porbandar saw claims of malfunctioning EVMs. The first phase of the elections decided the fate of as many as 977 candidates, including Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, BJP State president Jitu Vaghani and the Congress leaders Shaktisinh Gohil, Arjun Modhvadia and Paresh Dhanani.

12: 40 pm: ACHARYA DR.NIMABEN BHAVESHBHAI of the Bharatiya Janata Party has secured 58546 votes in Bhuj.
12:30 pm: In Bhuj, CHAKI ADAMBHAI BUDHABHAI of the Indian National Congress has got 61951 votes.
12:10 pm: The first result in Gujarat polls today went to the BJP with its candidate and state fisheries minister Babubhai Bokhiriya winning the Porbandar seat, defeating senior Congress leader Arjun Modhvadia.
12:06 pm: Chhabilbhai Naranbhai Patel of the Bharatiya Janata Party is in the second position with 30876 votes and the counting is still on in Abdasa.
11:59 am: Jadeja Pradhyumansinh Mahipatsinh of the Indian National Congress is leading with 41932 votes in Abdasa.
