Gujarat election 2017 LIVE UPDATES: Gujarat is all set to go to polls on December 9 and 14. PM Narendra Modi and Congress VP Rahul Gandhi are leaving no stone unturned to ensure maximum gains for BJP and Congress in elections. For Congress, Gandhi has run a whirlwind campaign to give his party a boost before 2019 general elections. For BJP, PM Narendra Modi is leading the campaign from the front, projecting himself as the prime administrator for his home state. On Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to visit at least four different constituencies. However, he had to cancel his tour in the middle due to bad weather conditions.

5.50 pm: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he mostly talked about the Congress in his speeches as he had no plans for poll-bound Gujarat’s future.

5.38 pm: Rahul Gandhi Tweets: My thoughts are with people who will be braving the onslaught of Cyclone Ockhi. Urge Congress leaders and workers in Gujarat to provide all necessary help and support to the needy during this hour of crisis.

5.00 pm: Announcement: Congress VP Rahul Gandhi’s events today at Morbi and Surendranagar, and all programmes tomorrow stand cancelled due to bad weather conditions. His events on December 7 will be shifted to December 8.

3.36 pm: This election is not about Congress or BJP but about the future of Gujarat and its people: Rahul Gandhi

3.30 pm: I listened to Modi ji’s speech yesterday, 60% of his speech was on Congress and me.

12.30 pm: Gandhi has been attacking the prime minister over various issues in “a question a day” series on Twitter in the run up to the Gujarat Assembly elections, demanding answers from him for “unfulfilled promises” made by his party.

12.00 pm: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had on Monday today hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, targeting him for unemployment among youth and poor wages to workers despite the 7th Pay Commission recommendations.

11.20 am: Congress VP Rahul Gandhi will start his campaign from 1 pm today.
