North Gujarat election exit poll result: After the intense election campaign in Gujarat, the state turned out in large numbers to vote for its choice. While leaving after casting his vote, PM Modi waved to his fans and supporters. The incident hasn’t been taken well by the Congress and the party claims that Modi has bypassed the model code of conduct and also marched to the office of Election Commission to register its protest. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, BJP chief Amit Shah, BJP Senior leader L K Advani and Patidar quota leader Hardik Patel are among the notable names who went to the polling booths to exercise their franchise. In the second phase, 2.2 crore voters will decide the fate of 851 candidates contesting for 93 constituencies.
Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the clear winner in almost all opinion polls conducted before Gujarat Assembly elections 2017. However, most of these surveys suggest that BJP will win, but by a smaller margin as compared to 2012.
