Central Gujarat election exit poll result: The exit polls for 61 seats in Central Gujarat was declared today. The electoral campaigns for this phase of elections witnessed series of jibes and allegations against each other by both BJP and Congress leaders. The major candidates battling in second phase elections in Gujarat include state deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, who is contesting from Mehsana, Alpesh Thakor from Radhanpur, and Jignesh Mevani from Vadgam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is hoping for a comprehensive victory in the state. Congress, on the other hand, is keeping fingers crossed. Congress president-elect Rahul Gandhi showed confidence in campaign against the incumbent government in the state.
