The results for the West Bengal Group D 2017 written examination held on May 20 has been announced earlier today. According to NDTV report, the OMR sheets of the candidates, who appeared in the West Bengal Group D written examination have been scanned and evaluated electronically. The examinations were held to fill 6000 vacancies and the candidates who have cleared the exam will be informed about the interview schedule through sms/e-mail in their registered Mobile numbers. Around three times the total number of seats will be intimated for the interviews. The candidates who are selected after the West Bengal Group D written exam, on the basis of the provisional Merit list will be called for Interview in a phased manner. The report also stated that these interviews are likely to start from October 16, 2017.

The recruitment of group D employees will take place in West Bengal after a long interval. The last Group D recruitment was done during the former Left Front regime. Here are the steps to check your Group D written exam results:

Step 1: Log on to the official website of West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board – wbgdrb.in

Step 2: On the home page, click on the link which reads: ‘Result of Gr. D Examination 2017’ in the notice board section

Step 3: Enter application number and date of birth

Step 4: Press the submit button to check your result

Step 5: Take a print out of your result for future reference

The West Bengal Recruitment Board came into existance on January 1, 2016 and has its head office in Kolkata. Applications for these Group D posts were invited online for recruitment of 6000 Group D personnel in the offices of the State Government, located all across West Bengal. Nearly 24.68 lakh valid applications were submitted.
