QS World University Ranking: QS Top Universities have listed the best cities across the world for international students in their latest ranking and surprisingly only two cities from India have made the cut. The website earlier in the month had listed the world’s top 200 institutions that produce the most number of ’employable graduates’ in the latest edition of the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2018. Now they have come up with the top 100 cities in the QS Best Student Cities 2017 ranking. The places mentioned in the ranking are the cities that are favored by students all over the globe on the basis of affordability, desirability and most importantly the scope of employment and employer activity. Montreal is now the world’s number 1 student city, bringing an end to Paris’ four-year reign at the top.
In order to be considered for inclusion in the list, the parameter for selection was that each city must have a population of over 250,000, and be home to at least two universities featured in the most recent QS World University Rankings. The 2017 edition of the QS Best Student Cities also includes a new category called Student View, based on a survey of students and recent graduates around the world.
These are the two Indian cities in the QS Best Student Cities 2017 list along with their ranks-
