With the announcement of the CA Final results by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India today, Mohit Gupta has emerged as the all India topper by securing AIR 1. Mohit hails from Karnal district in Haryana. Scoring 587 marks out of the total 800, Mohit has bagged this position. The second and the third position of the CA Final 2017, has been bagged by two boys from Delhi — Prashant and Aditya Mittal respectively. Congratulating the students, CA. Nilesh S. Vikamsey, President, ICAI said, “I congratulate all rank-holders and successful candidates for their hard work and results. However, I would like to convey to all candidates who could not qualify despite their hard work, to plan and study efficiently and work harder, which will eventually help them in achieving success”.
In Group I, the pass percentage is only 15.91% while in the Group II exams it is 15.11%. The overall pass percentage remained at 22.76 per cent. A total of 39,328 candidates appeared for the Group 1 exam, out of which only 6257 passed. In case of group II, out of 39753 students, only 6006 have cleared the exam. CA Final is conducted twice a year. For the exam conducted in May/June, a total of 1,32,007 students appeared in the CA final examination.
Earlier, according to an official statement from ICAI, the results of both Chartered Accountants Final Examination which were held in November 2017 and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) held in December 2017 will be declared on Wednesday, January 17 at 8.00 pm. However, it was declared earlier than the scheduled time.
The ICAI will issue the all India merit list for the candidates securing a minimum of 55 per cent and above marks and up to the maximum of 50th rank in the case of CA final examination. They said merit list will also be available on the official websites. A student has wrote on Twitter, “It was relatives that came to know first about CA results being declared tonight.”
