CBSE Class 10, 12 date sheet 2018: The class 10th, class 12th board exam datesheet is likely to be released anytime by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on their official website cbse.nic.in. Candidates can check the detailed exam schedule on the official website once it has been released by CBSE. As of now, there is no specific date or time announced by the board about when the exam schedule will be out. The board was expected to issue the CBSE class 10 and 12 exam date sheet for the month of December itself. On the basis of the previous years, it can rightfully be said that this year’s exam schedule will be released soon. So, despite the delay, there is no need to panic as students are expected to get ample time to prepare.
Last year, the date sheet for both the classes were released on January 9 and in 2016, it was released on January 4. So as per the track record, it is quite possible that the date sheets may well release this week itself. While the board exam dates have not been announced, according to earlier reports CBSE had confirmed that it will conduct the board exam in the month of March and the board practical exams will take place in January. The practicals are slated to begin from January 16, reported the Indian Express. CBSE in the circular has instructed the schools affiliated to it to conduct practical exams for both class 10 and 12 from January 16 this year. They have also been to told to upload the scores of the practical board exams on the official portal of CBSE by February 25. Recently, CBSE confirmed it would conduct class 10, 12 exams in March, probably after Holi which is on March 2. The CBSE is also planning to sum up the examination within a month to give more time to teachers to evaluate answer sheets.
A total of 10.76 lakh students were registered this year for the board examinations, out of which only 10.20 lakh students appeared for the examination. 8,24,355 students in 2017 were able to successfully qualify the board examinations. The Board has also asked schools to ensure that all teachers, teaching classes 9 to 12, for all subjects, register themselves on the examination portal and fill the teachers’ database. Teachers should be relieved for evaluation of answer scripts who are identified by CBSE for this purpose, it added.
