CBSE 12th Result 2017: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to declare the Class 12th Results for the year 2017. This year the board had to shift the scheduled starting date of the board examination due to the assembly elections that took place in the month of March in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Goa and this had affected the study schedule of the stuidents as well as their post-12th preparations and other examinations that almost every one takes.
According to indiaresults.com the board is likely to announce the class 12th results on May 24th and class 10th results on June 2nd, while in the year 2016 the 12th results were declared on May 21st and class 10th on May 28th. While only the future will reveal how this batch will fare, here we list how the previous one did the last time around.
In 2016, Sukriti Gupta of Montfort School, Ashok Vihar Delhi topped the examination by scoring a total of 497 marks out of 500, while the second position was secured by Palak Goyal of Tagore Public School, Kurukshetra who secured 496 marks and the third position by Somya Uppal from St Theresa Convent School, Karnal who was awarded a total of 495 marks. The pass percentage among girls was more than that compared to the boys, it was 88.58% and 78.85% respectively – a massive gap indeed! The overall pass percentage of Thiruvananthapuram region (Kerala) was highest in the country at 97.61%. Reacting to her fantastic results, Sukriti had said, “I am not defined by my marks. It is my personality and what I love to do which defines me”.
