Smart city list: Union Minister of Urban Development, Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday declared nominations of 98 cities for NDA government's flagship program.

Smart cities were selected through intra-city competition evaluated on parameters such as service levels, financial and institutional capacity, past track record and reforms.

Union Minister of Urban Development, Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday declared nominations of 98 cities for NDA government’s flagship program: #Smartcities Mission. Two other cities will be announced later. Centre has earmarked Rs 48,000 crore for development of 100 smart cities. Each smart city would get a Central assistance of Rs 100 crore per year for five years.

The cities were selected through intra-city competition evaluated on parameters such as service levels, financial and institutional capacity, past track record and reforms.
