Goa Budget 2018 LIVE Updates: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar presented the state budget today (February 22). In a short speech, he highlighted the crucial points of the budget. As per reports, the valuation of this year’s state budget is Rs 17123 crores. Earlier in the day, he came back to his home state after being discharged from Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital, where he was undergoing a treatment since February 15 for a pancreatic ailment – “inflamed pancreas”. Previously, the Budget session of Goa Legislative Assembly was curtailed to three days, owing to the ill health of Parrikar. “We will curtail the session to three days considering the ill health of the chief minister,” deputy Speaker Michael Lobo had then said. Notably, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar had maintained that the Opposition parties had no reservations if the session was curtailed as the chief minister was genuinely ill.
