Arun Jaitley makes a strong pitch for investment in Jharkhand

The Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley while speaking at the Jharkhand Investor Summit made a strong pitch for investment in the state. He also lauded the state from the point of view of governance and policy. He said Jharkhand has a stable government and started ranking number three in the “Ease of Doing Business”. He said, “this state can pride itself as a manufacturing sector.” This is one state that has taken a lead in manufacturing, so there is also potential in the services sector. He further said that there is a huge potential in the eastern state as they are endowed with natural richness. Jharkhand has a potential of higher 5 per cent GDP above the national average.

The Finance minister also pointed ou that on this day, 105 years ago, the Tatas had chosen Jharkhand as their investment destination. “It is the primary responsibility of the state to invest in administered services”, he said.
