Accompanied by a 100-strong business delegation, 10 Cabinet-level ministers, talks between leaders of India and Malaysian will focus on strengthening trade and investment and military ties. PM Narendra Modi and his Malaysian counterpart Najib Razak will meet in New Delhi on April 1 for bilateral- and delegation-level talks.

Briefing mediapersons ahead of the visit, Jaideep Mazumdar, JS (South) MEA, said, “We are looking to take forward what was discussed in 2015. Trade and investment, infrastructure projects, defence cooperation, space cooperation, and international cooperation will be on the table for discussions between the two sides.”

Around $5 bn worth of project are expected to be discussed when the visiting leader visits Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan. And almost 15 business agreements are expected to be inked at an India-Malaysia Business Summit that will take place in New Delhi, followed by India-Malaysia CEO Forum meeting.
