Corporate Wi-Fi networks, once considered a routine part of office infrastructure, are emerging as a growing cybersecurity risk as artificial intelligence accelerates the speed and sophistication of cyberattacks. Experts believe that, with the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, cyberattacks are becoming faster and more advanced. This means the wireless access points used in offices are no longer just for convenience. 

Recent studies suggest that AI-powered attacks are now evolving much faster than traditional cybersecurity defenses. Reports from Cybercrime Magazine estimate that worldwide cybercrime losses could reach $10.5 trillion every year by 2025–2026. 

AI-based phishing attacks have increased dramatically, with reports showing a 1,265% surge in such attempts. 

Experts in the industry noted that hackers are also using AI to create polymorphic malware, which changes its code every few seconds to avoid detection. Even though companies focus heavily on protecting cloud systems and software, the wireless networks inside offices are often overlooked. According to the “State of Wireless Security in 2026” report by Bastille Networks, wireless vulnerabilities have increased 230 times over the past 15 years. 

As a result, many organizations are shifting to continuous monitoring and testing of their networks. This new approach focuses on identifying weaknesses before attackers can exploit them. New cybersecurity tools are also emerging to support this shift. One example is a Wi-Fi penetration testing and security audit device developed by US-based cybersecurity practitioner and researcher Mohit Garg. 

Garg has published research on AI-driven cybersecurity frameworks and focuses on preventive wireless security assessment models. The device is associated with United Kingdom Registered Design No. 6457092. 

Garg said the system allows security teams to simulate how attackers search for vulnerabilities in wireless networks. It can detect hidden access points, weak encryption, and other network weaknesses before they are exploited. Experts say the gap between large and small organizations is also growing. 

The World Economic Forum notes that while large companies are now using AI to automate up to 85% of their threat detection, about 90% of smaller organizations are still not fully prepared to handle AI-driven cyberattacks.
