Udaipur-Asarva (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express: Indian Railways is set to launch the much awaited Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express from next week. With the introduction of new Vande Bharat service, the travel time between Udaipur and Ahmedabad is set to be reduced drastically.

This new semi-high-speed train will be maintained and operated by the North Western Railway (NWR) zone. The introduction of this semi-high-speed train is expected to boost tourism and trade, providing a premium alternative to the existing overnight express and intercity trains on this route.

Udaipur-Asarva (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express: Train Schedule

The Vande Bharat Express will slashed the journey time between Udaipur and Ahmedabad to approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes, making it the fastest rail link on this corridor. The soon-to-be-launched train will bear the train number 26963 while travelling from Udaipur to Asarwa and 26964 from Asarwa to Udaipur.

The train will reportedly depart from Udaipur City at 6:10 AM and reach Asarwa at 10:25 AM. The return leg on the other hand will commence its journey from Asarwa at 5:45 PM and arrive back in Udaipur at 10:00 PM. The train service will operate for all days of the week barring Tuesday.

Like all Vande Bharat models, this train features an indigenous Kavach anti-collision system and superior ride quality. The train will have 7 AC chair car and 1 executive AC chair car class coaches.

According to a report by The Indian Express, the train is set to be particularly beneficial for the marble industry traders and IT professionals who frequently commute between the two states, offering a productive environment for work-on-the-go that buses and smaller trains lack.
