Indian Railways announced a new Amrit Bharat Express between Dhanbad and Coimbatore, adding long-distance rail connectivity between the two cities. The weekly train will serve 39 major stations, with Southern Railway mentioning that the service will connect five states.
The new service will operate as Train No. 22363 Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express.
Announcing the train on X, Southern Railway stated, “A new journey begins!” It said the new Amrit Bharat Express between Dhanbad and Coimbatore would interlink five states and 39 major stations with a focus on “comfort, connectivity and convenience.”
Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express: Which days will it run?
The Amrit Bharat Express will run once a week in each direction. Train No. 22363 will depart from Dhanbad on Saturday, while Train No. 22364 will start its return journey from Coimbatore on Tuesday.
Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express timings
Train No. 22363 Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Dhanbad Junction at 4:10 pm on Saturday and reach Coimbatore at 6:30 pm on Monday.
The schedule underlined by Southern Railway shows the train arriving at Balharshah at 9:10 pm and departing at 9:15 pm. It will subsequently reach Renigunta at 10:40 am and leave at 10:50 am before continuing towards Coimbatore.
On the return journey, Train No. 22364 Coimbatore-Dhanbad Amrit Bharat Express will leave Coimbatore at 7:50 am on Tuesday and will arrive at Dhanbad Junction at 1 pm on Thursday.
In the opposite direction, it will reach Renigunta at 4:35 pm and depart at 4:45 pm. At Balharshah, the train will reach at 7 am and depart at 7:05 am.

Dhanbad Junction-Gomoh-Parasnat-Hazaribagh Road-Koderma, Sasaram, Delhi-on-Sone, Jabalpur, Gaya, Anugraha Narayan Road, Pt.Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Satna, Mirzapur, Katni, Pipariya, Nagpur, Narsinghpur, Balharshah, Betul, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Mancherial, Itarsi, Peddapalli, Khammam, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Ongole, Nellore, Katpadi, Tiruttani, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Tiruttani, Erode, Tiruppur and Coimbatore.
The route provides connections to several major railway centres, including Gaya, Jabalpur, Prayagraj, Nagpur, Itarsi, Vijaywada, Salem, Renigunta and Erode.
The announcement adds another Amrit Bharat Express service to Indian Express Railways’ network, with a detailed schedule now outlining its weekly operations in both directions.
