Passengers planning to travel between Mumbai and Gorakhpur will now have a regular four-days-a week Express, with the Railways deciding to regularise the existing Dadar-Gorakhpur-Dadar special trains.
Special Train Nos. 01027/01028 Dadar-Gorakhpur Jn-Dadar have been regularised as Train Nos. 11047/11048 Dadar-Gorakhpur Jn-Dadar Express, as per the official update from the Northern Railway.
“For passengers’ convenience, the Railways has decided to regularise the following special trains as 4 days a week express trains,” Northern Railway stated in a post on X.
The services will run with immediate effect and offer AC, Sleeper and General Class accommodation.
Dadar-Gorakhpur Express: check running days
Train No. 11047 Dadar-Gorakhpur Jn Express will run from Dadar every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The train will leave Dadar at 2:05 pm and reach Gorakhpur Junction at 2:55 on the third day.
At Varanasi, the train is scheduled to reach at 9:45 and depart at 9:55 pm.
Gorakhpur-Dadar Express: Timings and running days
In the return direction, Train No.11048 Gorakhpur Jn-Dadar Express will run every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It will depart Gorakhpur Junction at 2:20 pm and reach Dadar at 3:35 am on the third day.
At Varanasi, the train will arrive at 6:45 pm and leave at 6:55 pm.

Dadar-Gorakhpur Express: check stoppages
As per the Northern Railway notification, the train will have stoppages at Kalyan Jn, Nashik Road, Itarsi Jn, Bhusaval Jn, Harda, Lalitpur, Rani Kamalapati, Kharagpur Jn, Bina Jn, Tikamgarh, Khajuraho, Maharaja Chhatrasal Station Chhatarpur, Chitrakot, Banaras, Varanasi, Mahoba Jn, Manikpur Jn, Banda, Prayagraj Jn, Manikpur, Gyanpur Road, Bhatni, Aunrihar and Deoria Sadar.
AC, Sleeper and General Class available
The trains will have AC, Sleeper and General Class accommodation, providing passengers different options for the long-distance journey. Passengers should particularly note the change in train numbers following regularisation. Northern Railway has urged passengers to check detailed stoppages and timings through RailMadad helpline 139 or the Indian Railways enquiry service before travelling.
