Logistics company Gateway Distriparks posted a net profit of Rs 60.59 crore in Q4FY26 against a net loss of Rs 193.10 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Revenue was flat at Rs 533.65 crore. Chairman and managing director Prem Kishan Gupta talks about the company’s plans and the overall market during an interview with

How has the West Asia war impacted the company’s business and how are you tackling it ?
March was subdued, and April was similar. Not many ships want to go to West Asia. So, volumes are down. Demand from West Asia has dropped. As US tariffs are there where they are, exports to that country are also down. Because of rupee depreciation, imports are also impacted. Port activity has also come down. We are making all efforts. The war has affected 10-15% of our business and the rest is intact. We are servicing our customers on time.
What kind of growth are you expecting in FY27?
We are aiming at overall growth. We expect volumes to come back . We are aiming at a growth of 10-15% in FY27.
What kind of cost increases have you initiated in the last two months since the beginning of the West Asia war?
We have not carried out any increase in our charges so far as our costs are not affected. Till now, petrol and diesel prices have not gone up, hence it has not impacted our cost, though volumes have come down.
How much capex do you look to incur in FY27?
In FY27 and FY28, we are looking to spend Rs 250 crore – Rs 300 crore. This will be for buying of trains and replacing diesel vehicles with CNG vehicles . Also, we are setting up Inland Container Depots in Jaipur and Indore, which will be operational in two years from now .
What kind of growth are you seeing in Snowman Logistics? What are your plans there?
We are expanding in the segment. We have seen revenue growth of 14% this year and we are aiming for a growth of 15% year-on-year. Demand is there in that segment. We are there in 30 cities and we want to expand in every major city and town.
