Swiggy has decided to shut down Snacc, its dedicated app for 15-minute food deliveries, barely a year after its launch, according to sources aware of the matter. 

Snacc had been operating as a pilot only in Bengaluru and Gurugram and had not expanded significantly in the 12 months since launch. The app served Indian breakfast, coffee, bakery items, beverages, eggs and protein, with tie-ups with brands such as The Whole Truth in select sub-categories, and the rest sourced from third-party food providers.The company has not disclose order volumes or revenue figures for the app. 

Snacc was launched in January 2025 at a time when 10-minute food delivery was gaining momentum as a theme. Rivals Blinkit and Zepto launched competing offerings — Bistro and Zepto Cafe, respectively — while Accel-backed Swish was also gaining traction among investors and users.

Sources said Swiggy’s other food delivery experiments — Bolt, a quick delivery service for orders from existing restaurant partners which operates within the main Swiggy app; 99Store, a value-focused offering for budget meals; and Toing, standalone, budget-focused food delivery app piloted in Pune — will continue to operate. Impacted Snacc employees will be accommodated across other verticals within the company, sources added.

Swiggy did not respond to queries on the matter.

The closure comes as Swiggy has been reporting consecutive quarterly losses, amidst increasing competition in quick commerce, prompting it to raise fresh capital through a qualified institutional placement (QIP) of Rs 10,000 crore.
