Another defence sector order boost for Zen Technologies. The company has announced that it has received an order worth Rs 404 crore from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for the supply of anti-drone systems.

Zen Technologies: Project details

According to the company’s regulatory filing, the total order value of Rs 404 crore (inclusive of GST) comprises Rs 332 crore for the supply of anti-drone systems / Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), while the remaining Rs 72 crore has been allocated towards training simulators and related equipment.

The contract is domestic in nature and is scheduled to be executed within one year, the company said.

The order has been awarded in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Zen Technologies clarified that neither its promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding authority, and that no related party transactions are involved.

Last month, the company had also secured an order worth Rs 120 crore from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of a Comprehensive Training Node (CTN), which included a range of training simulators and equipment.

Zen Technologies: ESOP share transfer

Earlier this month, Zen Technologies transferred 3,800 equity shares, each with a face value of Rs 1, to eligible employees under its Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) 2021. The shares were transferred from the Zen Technologies Employees Welfare Trust, which was established for the implementation of the ESOP scheme.

Following the announcement, Zen Technologies’ share price surged over 8% in early morning trade. However, the stock has declined over 2% in the past one month and is down 40.5% over the past one year. The Nifty Defence Index is up over 25% in the last one year.
