Ceigall India’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ceigall Infra Projects has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for a highway project awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The bid cost for the project stands at Rs 2,160 crore. 

Four-laning project under HAM

The project involves four-laning of the Sahebganj–Areraj–Bettiah stretch of NH-139W in Bihar, with a total length of 78.942 km. The road will be developed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM).

The stretch has been divided into two sections. Section one covers Sahebganj to Areraj over 38.362 km, while section two spans 40.580 km from Areraj to Bettiah.

Order to strengthen Ceigall’s order book

The construction period for the project is 730 days, followed by a 15-year operations and maintenance (O&M) period, as per the bid terms.

The company said that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in NHAI. It also clarified that the order does not fall under related party transactions.

Once the letter of award is issued and the contract is signed, the project will add to Ceigall’s order book in the roads and highways segment.

Rs 918 crore Jaipur Metro project

Before this the company had bagged an order worth Rs 918.04 crore from Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation on January 16. The order involves the design and construction of an elevated viaduct along with ten elevated stations for Jaipur Metro Phase-II. The project will be executed from chainage minus 600 metres to 11,400 metres and also includes a spur line leading to the metro depot. The order is expected to be executed withing 34 months.

The stations include Prahladpura, Manpura, Bilwa Kalan, Bilwa, Goner Mod, Sitapura, JECC, Kumbha Marg, Haldighati Gate and Pinjrapole Gaushala.
