Air Products (NYSE: APD), a leading player in industrial gases and clean hydrogen projects, announced the expansion of its project delivery centre in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The centre is spread over 246,000 square feet and across 10 floors. The Project Delivery Centre was set up in Vadodara in 2020 and now has expanded to a new and bigger office. The first was the project delivery centre and digital technology centre in Pune, Maharashtra.
The Vadodara centre was inaugurated by Ahmed Hababou, president, Middle East, Egypt and Turkey and India, Air Products. Currently, the Vadodara Centre employs around 900 employees and more than 1800 employees are employed for Air Products across India.
After this expansion announcement, the Vadodara centre employs 900 people and the new office has a capacity to seat 1400 employees. The centre will house a growing diverse team that is focused on delivering world-class engineering, procurement, construction and project execution services for Air Products’ activities and projects throughout the world.
Sushila Mani, managing director, Air Products India, said, “Since 2020, when we arrived in the western region of the country, we have almost tripled our workforce across India. As we continue to grow in the region, this office will make additional significant contributions towards Air Products’ industrial gas and hydrogen leadership.”
Apart from Maharashtra and Gujarat, Air Products also has a presence in Kerala and Bihar. The company has a world-scale industrial gas complex at BPCL Kochi Refinery in Kochi, Kerala and an under-construction industrial gas complex at IOCL’s Barauni Refinery in Barauni, Bihar.
