Italy’s Cattini sets up facility in Pune, targets Rs 700 crore turnover in 7 years

It is estimated that the company has invested around Rs 20 crore towards the new facility.

Cattini e Figlio, an Italian gear manufacturer has established a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Pune’s Sanaswadi area. The facility will focus on manufacturing various machinery products, including gears, shafts, and synchronisers. The new entity will operate under Cattini Power Transmission brand in the country.

It is estimated that the company has invested around Rs 20 crore towards the new facility.

Lorenzo Cattini, Chairman, Cattini Group said “This venture is expected to provide economic stability to the region”. In the initial phase, the company aims for a turnover of Rs 45 crore. As the project progresses, the target turnover for Phase 2 is set at Rs 250 crore within 3 years. Looking ahead, Cattini India aims to achieve a substantial turnover of Rs 650 to 700 crore within 5-7 years.

Massimiliano Bennici, Director-Cattini Group stated, “This marks Cattini’s entry into the Indian market and represents a crucial step in our growth strategy to expand our presence in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Thomas Mathew, Director, Alcor Cross Border M&A expressed Alcor’s significant role in structuring, planning, executing the transaction, and setting up Cattini’s manufacturing facility in the Indian market.
