We’ve moved past the era of “chatting” with AI. We are now entering the era of the Agentic Workforce – AI bots that don’t just talk, but actually do things, like closing insurance claims, re-routing supply chains, or managing budgets.
But there’s a catch. Recent studies from Gartner suggest that while a third of software will soon be “agentic,” nearly 40% of these projects will crash and burn by 2027. Why? Because giving AI the keys to the office without supervision is a recipe for chaos. Without “AgentOps” (the digital equivalent of a HR and Compliance department), these bots can drift away from their goals, hallucinate, or even be “tricked” into leaking data.
Keeping this gap in mind, Covasant Technologies, a product company operating in the Agentic AI space, has launched the Covasant Agent Management Suite (CAMS).
“Agentic AI represents the next great inflection point in enterprise automation, but it introduces the complex challenges of governance, accountability, and multi-vendor interoperability,” ReddyRaja Annareddy, CTO, Covasant Technologies, said.
Adding to it he mentioned that, “With CAMS, we aim to empower global organizations to move beyond simple automation towards true intelligence, where AI autonomously drives measurable business outcomes, while safeguarding compliance and an identity-native security posture.”
From ‘tools’ to ‘teammates’
The vision from Covasant leadership – CEO Srikanth Chakkilam and CTO ReddyRaja Annareddy – is clear: AI agents are mission-critical assets. You wouldn’t hire 100 people and not give them a manager; you can’t deploy 100 AI agents and hope for the best.
Covasant is also looking at the next frontier: Intelligent Meta RAG. This will allow AI to “think” across different types of data – from spreadsheets to complex knowledge graphs – to provide answers that are not just fast, but deeply reasoned and explainable.
Managing AI, not just deploying it
“Enterprises are excited about what Agentic AI can achieve, but they are rightfully cautious about the operational reality of governing them at scale. An AI agent is a mission-critical digital asset that demands continuous lifecycle governance,” Srikanth Chakkilam, CEO, Covasant Technologies, said.
The future of business isn’t just about having the best AI; it’s about having the best-managed AI.
