In a direction to boost the connectivity between India and Malaysia, IndiGo and Malaysia Airlines have signed an initial pact for a codeshare partnership.

More options for customers

IndiGo stated that a collaborative agreement between the two airlines will empower both companies to offer customers increased choices and enhanced flexibility for smooth travel between Malaysia and India.

The cooperation between the two airlines will allow Malaysia Airlines to bolster its connectivity with India by serving as the marketing carrier on IndiGo operated flights, the Indian airline said. Meanwhile, IndiGo passengers will gain access to a broader range of Southeast Asia destinations via Malaysia Airlines’ extensive network.

This reciprocal arrangement will facilitate seamless connections for both airlines’ customers, in addition to offering integrated travel itineraries and other amenities, IndiGo said.

Malaysia Airlines presently operates 71 weekly flights to nine major Indian hubs, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, and Trivandrum.
