Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, continues to lead the charge in technology innovation and adoption across the country.

It’s no surprise that the city remains one of the top adopters of digital payments, with Paytm’s iconic Soundbox garnering a loyal user base and remaining the top choice for popular merchants in the city.

Bengaluru’s favorite eatery, Rameshwaram Cafe, known nationwide for its delectable South Indian delicacies, has also seen enhanced operational efficiencies with the adoption of the feature-packed Soundbox.

In a recent live discussion with Paytm’s Founder and CEO, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Gaurav Sharma, one of the franchise owners of Rameshwaram Cafe, highlighted the innovative features of the firm’s payment devices. He noted that the adoption of the Soundbox has helped the outlet track payments at the countertop and issue instant refunds to customers, thereby improving business efficiencies.

“Paytm’s innovative devices have simplified mobile payment tracking and accounting. The device also has a great feature that allows easy initiation of refunds in case of a wrong payment,” said Gaurav, a valued Paytm merchant partner. “Over 90% of our transactions are digital payments.”

Reflecting on these remarkable advancements in digital payment adoption, Sharma said, “Your progress gives me confidence that, eventually, merchants across the country will handle 90% of transactions through mobile and digital payments.”

On Tuesday, Paytm announced the launch of India’s first ‘Paytm NFC Card Soundbox,’ a significant step towards enhancing user experience and providing merchants with the latest payment technology at an affordable cost.

Paytm’s new NFC Card Soundbox democratises access to secure NFC card-reading technology for small shops, empowering them with affordable devices for comprehensive payment acceptance, including credit or debit cards and UPI. Customers can simply tap a card or scan a QR code to make payments.
