A two-hour meeting between the Tata Motors management team and a seven-member worker committee at its Nano plant in Gujarat's Sanand yielded no results even as the ongoing workers’ agitation at the facility entered its fourth day on Thursday. No compromise was reached at the meeting facilitated by assistant labour commissioner MS Patel.

There are strong indications that the state government might press criminal charges against the 426 workers who are on strike.
