Eicher Polaris, a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors and Polaris Industries Inc, has appointed Pankaj Dubey as the CEO of EEPL. He will take over from Radhesh C Verma, the incumbent CEO. He will also remain the Managing Director of Polaris Industries along side his new role. Backed by an investment of Rs 350 crore in 2012, the companies have been bringing in a slew of products in the Indian two-wheeler and adventure segments.
Pankaj has also worked with other automotive companies including Yamaha, Hero and LML before joining Polaris Industries in India. The veteran player did his post graduation from MONIRBA – University of Allahabad and an additional qualification in Program on Leading and Managing from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
The company, Eicher Polaris, aims to manufacture and sell a full new range of personal utility vehicles suitable for Indian roads and other developing countries. The company had introduced the Multix with a price tag of Rs 2.32 lakh, ex-showroom Jaipur. The first manufacturing facility that will also have an in-house R&D Centre is located in Kukas, Jaipur.
