Mercedes-Benz India has announced the appointed of Michael Jopp as its new Head of Sales and Marketing. Michael has replaced Boris Fitz and will take up new responsibilities as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing function, effective 1st August 2016. Boris Fitz has successfully completed his tenure of four years in the country and will now take up the role at Mercedes-Benz Turkey.

We are equally excited to welcome Michael and are confident that with his rich experience in the domain of sales and marketing in Mercedes-Benz Cars, Michael will continue the strong growth momentum of the Three Pointed Star in this highly competitive and dynamic market.”
Before his appointment, Michael was Head of Sales and Management at Mercedes-Benz Cars Deutschland in Berlin. He was responsible for developing sales measures and directing sales strategy. He has an experience of around two decades in the domestic automobile industry in Germany as well as in international markets in both the OEM and distributor.
He also has a good experience in the areas of sales management, product management, marketing, general management and ‘smart’ brand with its dealer network. He did his MBA from Goizueta Business School, Emory University, Atlanta, and loves playing golf, travelling and has a keen interest in literature.
