Maruti Vitara Brezza deliveries to begin from March 25, confirms the Indo-Japanese carmaker. Launched earlier this month, the vehicle has received overwhelming response from buyers as the company has received over 20,000 bookings within 2 weeks of its launch. Unlike the Baleno and the S-Cross, the Brezza will be retailed through the company's regular dealership network.
R S Kalsi, Executive Director (M&S) shared, “We are delighted at customers’ response to Vitara Brezza. They have appreciated it for its sporty and muscular design and the combination of features offered at multiple trim levels. Our endeavor now is to deliver these cars quickly so that customers can enjoy their Vitara Brezza.”

Bookings in such high numbers prove the right pricing and value for money proposition that the Brezza offers. As a matter of fact, the Maruti Suzuki's compact SUV is the most affordable vehicle in its league. The Vitara Brezza is also the first product from the company that has been developed entirely by Maruti Suzuki India's in-house R&D team with no validation from the parent company Suzuki Motor Corporation.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza features a 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine that comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This is the same engine that does duty in the Ciaz and the S-Cross, and is capable of producing 89bhp and 200Nm. With lighter weight (1197kg) than its arch rival Ford EcoSport, the Brezza offers better power-to-weight ratio and is quicker in acceleration than the latter. It's also the most fuel efficient vehicle in its league with an ARAI-certified mileage of 24.3kmpl.
