Mahindra KUV100 launch

Mahindra KUV 100 is the second M&M product based on a monocoque platform after the XUV500

The Mahindra KUV100 was finally launched in the country, on Friday, in the price range of Rs 4.42 lakh  – Rs 6.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). At this price, the KUV100 has become the most affordable SUV in the country, and with no direct rival in the market, Mahindra’s mini SUV will take head on against B-segment hatchbacks like Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10.

The company’s first ever mini SUV – the Mahindra KUV100 – is the second M&M product based on a monocoque platform. The first product was Mahindra XUV500. Being a monocoque SUV, the KUV100 is a front-wheel drive vehicle. The vehicle’s light platform helps it achieve high fuel efficiency while offering a great performance. The company says that the KUV100 petrol version returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 18.23kmpl, while the diesel version returns an impressive 25.3kmpl.

Mahindra KUV 100 is also the country’s first ever sub-compact SUV with 6-seat configuration, though there will be a 5-seat version as well on offer.
