Kawasaki India, that sells Versys 1000 in India, on Thursday launched the lower displacement Versys 650 in India at a price of Rs 6.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company also launched the KLX 110 - an off-road bike for kids - at Rs 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Kawasaki Versys 650, a dual purpose bike, looks largely similar to its elder sibling - the Versys 1000 with dual headlamps, LED tail-lamp and height adjustable windscreen.

Features such as long travel upside down suspension at the front, upright seating position and 17-inch wheels make the Versys 650 a proper touring motorcycle. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 68.1bhp at 8.500rpm and peak torque of 64Nm at 7,500rpm.
