Ford has become the first auto manufacturer in India to launch a vehicle personalisation centre, enabling customers to customise their favourite vehicles. To start with, Ford India offers customisation of the EcoSport. This centre is also the first such Ford-operated unit in the Asia-Pacific.
Located in the vicinity of Ford India’s Chennai factory, the vehicle personalisation centre is spread over 35,000 square feet. It was inaugurated by John Cooper, vice-president, customer service division, Ford Asia Pacific and Nigel Harris, president, Ford India on Thursday.
To begin with, the vehicle personalisation centre will offer three customisation options on the EcoSport. The initial offerings include a spare wheel (cover) pack for all EcoSport variants, an alloy pack that offers premium quality alloys and rear-spoiler for EcoSport’s Ambiente and Trend trims, a sports pack that includes a rear-spoiler, LED scuff plate, roof cross-bar for EcoSport’s Titanium and Titanium (O) trims. Ford India will expand the personalisation centre’s offering offerings later this year, Cooper said further.
"Customers today view vehicles as an extension of their own personalities and are keen to customise their cars to stand out from the clutter. They desire for enhanced levels of personalisation to make vehicles look distinctly theirs," said Cooper.
