Datsun Go-Cross will make its India debut at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo.

Datsun, Nissan's low-cost car brand, is going to showcase the Datsun Go-Cross at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The Financial Express was the first to throw light on this information and the company's road-map for the future.

First unveiled at 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, the Datsun Go-Cross is based on the same platform on which the GO+ is built, and thus shares some of its styling element too with the latter.

To fall in the sub-4 metre category, the company might launch both the 5 and 7-seater versions of the vehicle of which the 5-seater will be rolled out first. Being more contemporary and up-market products than the GO siblings, the GO-Cross duo is likely to be priced higher than the GO and GO+.

Besides GO-Cross siblings, Nissan's low cost car brand Datsun is also working on an entry-level hatchback based on Nissan-Renault Alliance's CMF-A platform. The similar platform also underpins the Renault Kwid. Along with the platform, the redi-Go will also share several of it parts and components with the Kwid; though there will be completely different design for the Datsun's entry-level hatchback.

Though the redi-GO concept had made its debut at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, a more evolved version of the hatchback might debut at the 2016 edition of the Indian Auto Expo. The redi-Go based hatchback will be positioned below the Datsun GO.
