Land Rover, Tata Motors-owned British luxury SUV maker, is all set to launch the 2016 Range Rover Evoque in the country on November 19, 2015. Pre-bookings for the updated model were commenced on October 23, 2015 across all JLR dealerships in India.
The new Range Rover Evoque will receive substantial design changes and new features. The 2016 Evoque looks refreshed and sportier than before with a redesigned bumper, all-new grille, larger air intakes, full-LED adaptive headlamps, redesigned fog lamps, a new set of alloy wheels, and a tail-gate spoiler. The vehicle's cabin also has gone through some changes, as it receives new infotainment system with an 8-inch display, a head-up display, a surround-view camera, new seats and door casing.
Unlike the global facelift model, the Range Rover Evoque 2016 will receive no mechanical changes here. It will continue to feature the same 2.2-litre diesel unit that powers the current model. Mated to a ZF 9-speed automatic gearbox, this engine develops 188bhp and 420Nm.
Just like the pre-facelift version, the new Range Rover Evoque will also be assembled locally at the company's Pune based facility. Other cars that the company assemble locally are the Discovery Sport, XF and the XJ.
