The Volvo S90 is a luxury sedan offered in Indian market by the Swedish carmaker. The sedan is available only in one variant, Inscription, and is a fully imported model from the company. It is currently offered only in a diesel engine option with an automatic transmission, however, a petrol hybrid version may come in later. The Volvo S90 competes with the likes of the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes E-Class, Audi A6 and the Jaguar XF. It is available in four colour options Magic Blue Metalic, Crystal White Pearl, Black Black Metallic, Mussel Blue Metallic

    The Volvo S90 is powered by a four cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which is Euro VI compliant in terms of its emission and noise norms. The engine develops 189 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. There are three driving modes that a driver can select which are Eco, Comfort and Dynamic.

  • Volvo S90 Transmission

    The diesel engine of the Volvo S90 is mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission. This powertrain send its power to the front wheels only and an all wheel drive system is not available and the claimed zero to 100 kmph mark is achieved in 8.2 seconds.

    In terms of safety, the Volvo S90 is offered with Lane Keeping Aid, Emergency Brake Assist, Seatbelt Pretensioners for all seats, Child Booster Cushion, High strength Boron Steel, Whiplash Protection and Side Impact Protection.
