The Hyundai Verna 2017 in its fifth generation has all the makings to be one of the fore-runners in the segment. Hyundai has given it two engine options 1.6 litre Dual VTVT petrol and a 1.6 litre U2 CRDi VGT diesel engine. The petrol variants produce 123 hp of maximum power and 151 Nm of torque. The diesel versions, on the other hand, generates 128 hp of power and 260 Nm of torque. The engines are paired to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The petrol manual variants deliver a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.70 kmpl, while the automatic delivers 15.92 kmpl. The diesel manual versions deliver 24.75 kmpl and 21.02 kmpl of the automatic trims. The car is now bigger and spacious than the previous generation model as the length, width and headroom of the car have been increased, creating more space for the rear passengers. The car now measures 4,440 mm in length, 1,729 mm in width and 1,465 mm in height. The Verna has a1.6-litre of 2,600 mm and a ground clearance of 165 mm.
