Tata Nano

The Tata Nano GenX is the cheapest and affordable hatchback in the Indian market by the Indian carmaker. The car comes in five petrol and one CNG variant. The variants are as follows Nano XE, XM, XT, XTA AMT and XMA AMT. The Tata Nano comes with the 624 cc petrol engine which is common across all variants with an option of a four speed manual or a five speed automated manual transmission. In terms of safety, it comes with booster assisted drum brakes, front and rear seat belts, side intrusion beams and hazard warning switch. Key features include body coloured bumpers, power steering, air conditioning, music system with Bluetooth and front fog lamps.

    The Tata Nano has always been in constant attention due to its small size. The size remains same to the earlier generation Nano. The headlights look endearing due to the new black surrounds along with the black bar between them which now houses the Tata logo.     The Tata Nano GenX has for sportier upholstery with the XE, XM and XMA variants getting black and silver ‘Matrixed Nano’ with denim bolster fabrics upholstery and matrixed Nano fabrics with ebony door trims. XT and XTA feature brown ‘Infinium’ fabrics with embroidered ‘Nano’ letters and infinium fabrics encased in Latte door trims. The cabin also features dual gove boxes, three spoke steering wheel, driver information display, distance to empty, fuel gauge, LED display digital clock, low fuel warning indicator, cabin lamp, front seat head rest, driver seat with slider, passenger side seat with slider, front and rear assist grips and rear seat folding.

  • Tata Nano Engine

    The Tata Nano GenX comes with a 624 cc petrol engine. The petrol motor produces 38 PS at 5500 RPM along with torque of 51 Nm at 4000 RPM. The engine is not refined and lacks the power to overtake at ease and is simply built for city driving.

  • Tata Nano Transmission

    The Tata Nano GenX transmission options include a four speed manual gearbox and a five speed automated manual transmission. The automated manual transmission comes with an option of sports mode and also gets creep feature.
