Tata Bolt is a premium hatchback in the Indian market by Tata Motors. The car comes in four petrol and four diesel variants. The variants are as follows Tata Bolt XE Petrol, XM Petrol, XMS Petrol, XT Petrol and XE Diesel, XM Diesel, XMS Diesel, XT Diesel. The Tata Bolt comes with an 1193 cc petrol engine and a 1248 cc diesel engine with a five-speed manual transmission. In terms of safety, it comes with disc brakes in front with drum brakes at rear, ABS, EBD, corner stability control, speed sensing auto door locks. Key features include body-coloured bumpers, power steering, alloy wheels, automatic temperature control and music system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth.

The Tata Bolt comes with a petrol and a diesel engine choice on offer. The petrol 1193cc engine produces 90PS of power and 140Nm of torque, while the diesel 1248cc engine produces 75PS power and 190Nm of torque. Both the petrol and the diesel engine feels refined and runs smoothly throughout the rev range.
The Tata Bolt comes with a five speed manual transmission which offers smooth transition between gears and is not notchy at all. There is a good amount of torque present which aids in the driveability of the car.
The car comes with ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. In addition, it also has safety features like ABS, EBD, corner stability control, speed sensing auto door locks, dual front airbags and energy absorbing front crumple zone.
The Tata Bolt is capable of returning ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 17.57 kmpl from the petrol engine while the diesel returns around 22.95 kmpl.
