The Land Rover Range Rover measures 4,999 mm in length, 2,220 mm in width, 1,835 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,922 mm for the short wheelbase version. For the long wheelbase variant or LWB, the length is 5,199 mm, height is 1,840 mm and wheelbase is 3,120 mm while the width remains same. The SUV is available in available in 11 exterior colour options, Fuji White, Yulong White, Indus Silver, Corris Grey, Kaikoura Stone, Scotia Grey, Aintree Green, Loira Blue, Santorini Black, Firenze Red, Montalcino Red and number of other colour options with dual tone combinations.In addition, there are 22 different alloy wheel designs available in 19, 20, 21 and 21 inch sizes.
The interior of the Land Rover Range Rover is offered with convenience features such as automatic climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with steering mounted audio and phone controls, cruise controls, paddle shifters and a host of interior colour combinations. These are Ebony/Ebony, Espresso/Almond, Ebony/Cirrus, Espresso/Ivory, Ebony/Ivory, Brogue/Ivory, Dark Cherry/Ivory, Navy/Cirrus, Ebony/Tan, Ebony/Pimento and a number of other combinations. The Land Rover Range Rover is powered by two petrol and two diesel engines. The 3.0 litre V6 supercharged petrol engine generates 339 hp of power in its lower state of tune and 379 hp of power in its higher state of tune, both at 6,500 rpm. Torque remains the same at 450 Nm from 3,500 rpm to 5,000 rpm. The 5.0 litre supercharged V8 petrol engine generates 509 hp of power from 6,000 rpm to 6,500 rpm in its lower state of tune and 549 hp of power from 6,000 rpm to 6,500 rpm in its higher state of tune. Torque on the less powerful engine is 625 Nm from 2,500 rpm to 5,500 rpm and 680 Nm of torque from 3,500 rpm to 4,000 rpm. The 3.0 litre diesel engine produces 257 hp of power at 3,750 rpm and 600 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm and 2,250 rpm. The hybrid version of the 3.0 litre diesel motor generates 353 hp of power and 700 Nm of torque. The most powerful 4.4 litre supercharged V8 diesel engine churns out 338 hp of power and 740 Nm of torque.
All engines are mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission sourced from ZF and tuned by Land Rover for the Range Rover. The gearbox also has paddle shifters for a more engaging driving experience. The claimed maximum speed of the 3.0 litre petrol range rover is 209 kmph for both states of tune, 250 kmph for the 5.0 litre petrol units. The 3.0 litre diesel engine has a maximum claimed speed of 209 kmph while the 3.0 litre hybrid and 4.4 litre V8 diesel engines have a claimed maxumum top speed of 218 kmph. The zero to 100 kmph time of the 3.0 litre V6 petrol is 7.4 seconds and 7.3 seconds and 5.4 seconds for the 5.0 litre V8 petrol trim. The 3.0 litre hybrid and 4.4 litre V8 diesel options have the same performance timing of 6.9 seconds while the 3.0 litre V6 version achieves 100 kmph from idle in 7.9 seconds.
The Land Rover Range Rover is offered with Hill Descent Control, Wade Sensing, dual stage driver as well as passenger airbags, side curtain airbags, side thorax airbags, seat belt pretensioners and ISOFIX mounts for child seats. The SUV scored 5 stars in Euro NCAP
The claimed mileage figure of the 3.0 litre V6 diesel version is 17.39 kmpl, the 3.0 litre diesel hybrid is 19.38 kmpl and for the 4.4 litre diesel trim is 14.28 kmpl. For the 3.0 litre V6 trims, fuel efficiency figure is 11.22 kmpl and 9.39 kmpl for the 5.0 litre supercharged V8 petrol versions. These figures are impressive considering the dimensions of the vehicle.
