Hyundai Santro retains the tall boy design in its latest generation avatar. The front end of the car gets curvy headlamps along with fog lamps that look kore upmarket than the ones on the previous model. The overall silhouette resembles to that of the previous model but the new model is bigger in dimensions. The new Santro now looks a lot modern and better than many cars in the segment.
Hyundai Santro gets a spacious and more premium cabin than its predecessor. The car also gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You also get rear AC vents with the new Santro that is a segment first feature. The new model also gets dual tone interiors that enhance the style quotient.
Powering the BS6 Santro is a 1.1-litre petrol engine that delivers power and torque outputs of 68hp and 99Nm. The hatchback is also offered with a CNG engine that produces 58hp and 84Nm.
Hyundai Santro comes with a five-speed manual transmission as standard. Also, it comes with optional AMT in Magna and Sportz variant only.
Hyundai Santro offers ABS with EBD along with driver airbag as standard across all variants with only the top end trim offering an additional front passenger airbag. The car also gets reverse camera and rear parking sensors for added safety and convenience.
The BS6 Hyundai Santro gets a 35-litre fuel tank and also comes with CNG as an option. The petrol variant gives a fuel-efficiency of 20.3kmpl, while the CNG version delivers a mileage of 30.4km/kg. On a full tank, the petrol version can offer a range of about 710km.
