The Aura is heavily inspired by its smaller sibling Grand i10 Nios. At the front, it gets cascading grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and Z-shaped tail lamps. It gets 14-inch steel wheels in E and S variants, while the higher variants get 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the car gets dual-tone grey interiors with an 8-inch touch screen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an Arkamys sound system. Along with these features, it comes with a connected car iblue features, push-button start-stop function, and keyless entry.
Hyundai Aura comes with BS6 compliant range of engines with two petrol and one diesel options. Powering the Hyundai Aura are 1.2-litre petrol engine that churns out respective power and torque outputs of 82hp and 114Nm. The 1.2-litre diesel engine generates that 74hp of power and 190Nm of torque. The mid-size sedan also comes with 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine from Hyundai Venue that produces 99hp of power and 172Nm of torque.
Hyundai Aura gets two transmission options – 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The 1.2-litre petrol and 1.2-litre diesel engines get a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the more powerful 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine comes mated to 5-speed manual transmission. The manufacturer also offers a CNG option with a 1.2-litre petrol engine and this one too is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
In terms of safety, Hyundai Aura gets ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags, front parking sensors, driver and passenger seat belt reminder and these are on offer as standard. Moreover, the SX, SX Plus and SX(O) variants come with a rear parking camera and day-night IRVM.
Hyundai Aura comes with 37-litre fuel tank for both diesel and petrol variants. The company claims that Hyundai Aura with 1.2-litre petrol engine gives a fuel-efficiency of 20.50kmpl for manual transmission, while it is 20.10kmpl for AMT. The 1.2-litre diesel engine gives a mileage of 25.25kmpl with manual transmission and 25.40kmpl for AMT. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine gets a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.50kmpl. For better fuel efficiency, Hyundai has equipped the car with a CNG option with a 1.2-litre petrol engine.
