
Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) is a fully owned subsidiary of the Japanese carmaker and was established in 1995. Since then, the company has been working on their ‘man maximum and machine minimum’ theory, with focus on driver oriented cars that have the right balance between performance and mileage/ fuel efficiency. The company caters to a wide range of segments and is present in the hatchback, premium hatchback, compact sedan, executive sedan, MPV, crossover and SUV segments. These models have options of both diesel and petrol engines along with select variants of these products mated to an automatic gearbox. Honda Cars India currently sells the Brio, Jazz, Amaze, City, Mobilio, BR V and the CR V. The Brio and CR V are the only models to be sold without a diesel engine. In terms of safety, all Honda cars have an option of ABS, dual front airbags, side and curtain airbags and traction control.
