Fiat Punto Evo

The Fiat Punto Evo is a premium hatchback offered by the Italian carmaker with two engines, a 1.3 litre diesel engine and a 1.2 petrol engine. It is available in six colour options, Magnesio Grey, Hiphop Black, Exotica Red, Bossanova White, Minimal Grey and Bronzo Tan. All variants of the premium hatchback are offered with body coloured bumpers, an infotainment system and a dual tone dashboard. Higher variants also come with body coloured ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), steering mounted audio controls and electrically foldable as well as adjustable ORVMs. The Fiat Punto Evo is available only with a 5 speed manual transmission for both engines and while the petrol engine is a SOHC (Single Over Head Cam) unit, the diesel is a DOHC (Dual Over Head Cam).

    Fiat offers the Punto Evo with body coloured front and rear bumpers as well as ‘Reindeer’ headlamps. Higher variants are also available with body coloured ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors), body coloured door handles and chrome inserts on the door handles. It measures 3,989 mm in length, 1,687 mm in width, 1,525 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,510 mm. The ground clearance of the Fiat Punto Evo is 195 mm for the petrol engine powered variants and 185 mm for the diesel engine powered versions. Both engine options have a 45 litre fuel tank capacity and the hatchback has a minimum kerb weight of 1,105 kg for the petrol variants and 1,162 kg for the diesel versions

  • Fiat Punto Evo Interior

    The Fiat Punto Evo is offered with a dual tone dashboard and a rear parcel shelf on all trims. The higher variants also get ‘Ambient Lighting on Dashboard’, fabric inserts on the door panel and a boot lamp. In addition, all variants get the 5 inch ‘Smart tech’ AVN (Audio Video Navigation) infotainment system with Bluetooth, USB, AUX and SD card compatibility. The top end Emotion version also gets steering mounted audio controls. The higher versions also get electrically adjustable as well as foldable ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and auto up/down power windows for all four windows.

  • Fiat Punto Evo Engine

    The Fiat Punto Evo is powered by a 1,172 cc petrol engine and a 1,248 cc diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 67 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 96 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. The diesel engine produces 91 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 209 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm.

  • Fiat Punto Evo Transmission

    Gearbox available with the Fiat Punto Evo is a 5 speed manual unit on both engines. It is, however, not available in an automatic transmission with any engine option. The ratios have been tuned to offer the best possible fuel efficiency.

  • Fiat Punto Evo Braking and Safety

    The Fiat Punto Evo is offered with ABS (Anti lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual front airbags on the higher versions. All variants, however, have an immobiliser with rotating code system, fuel cut off in case of a rollover and a double crank prevention system as well as central locking.

  • Fiat Punto Evo Mileage

    The fuel efficiency of the Fiat Punto Evo in its petrol powered variants has a claimed figure of 15.7 kmpl while the diesel has a mileage figure of 20.3 kmpl. These fuel efficiency figures are acceptable for its segment.
