The Audi A6 is a sedan offered by the German carmaker in one petrol engine and one diesel engine, a 1.8 litre inline four cylinder unit and a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine that are mated to a 7 speed S tronic automatic transmission. This sedan is available in one variant for each engine option and has six exterior colour options. These colours are Ibis White, Mythos Black, Floret Silver, Moonlight Blue and Dakota Grey. The Audi A6 measures 4,933 mm in length, 1,874 mm in width, 1,455 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,912 mm. Other features on the Audi A6 include cruise control, hold assist, reversing camera, Audi sound system and electrically adjustable front seats.

The Audi A6 sedan measures 4,933 mm in length, 1,874 mm in width, 1,455 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,912 mm. There are six exterior colour options, Ibis White, Mythos Black, Floret Silver, Moonlight Blue, Dakota Grey and Garnet Red. The Audi A6 is offered with a 17 inch alloy wheel and an 18 inch alloy wheel design. All Audi A6 sedan versions have Matrix LED headlights with DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) and LED tail lamps and progressive turn indicators.
Inside the Audi A6, the upholstery is a leatherette material available three colour options, Black, Atlas Beige and Nougat Brown. The rear recline can fold down to increase boot volume from 550 litres to 995 litres and the Audi A6 has a four zone air conditioning system. The front seats of the Audi A6 are electrically adjustable including memory function for the driver seat along with silver inlays for all versions. The steering wheel, which is also wrapped in leather comes with steering mounted audio, phone and cruise controls.
The Audi A6 is powered by two engines, a 1.8 litre petrol and a 2.0 litre diesel. The TFSI petrol produces 187 hp of power from 4,200 rpm to 6,200 rpm and 440 Nm of torque between 1,400 rpm and 4,100 rpm while the TDI diesel generates 187 hp of power from 3,800 rpm to 4,200 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm to 3,000 rpm.
Transmission available on the Audi A6 sedan is a 7 speed S Tronic automatic gearbox which is available in the petrol engine and the diesel engine powered variants. No version of the Audi A6 is available with a manual transmission.
In terms of safety, the Audi A6 sedan is offered with 8 airbags, ABS (Anti lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), traction control, Audi Multimedia Interface , rear child door locks and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Audi A6 petrol has a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.26 kmpl and the diesel versions have 18.53 kmpl which is reasonable for its segment. The company recommends sulphur free super unleaded RON 95 fuel for best performance and mileage from the Audi A6.
