  • Yamaha Saluto Design and Build

    Yamaha Saluto

Saluto is the smallest commuter from Yamaha India in its segment. It is basic-equipped with drum brakes at both ends, a single flat seat for the rider and pillion. However, there’s sportiness in bodywork with a sharp and aerodynamically looking bikini fairing, edgy looking fuel tank with graphics and the sporty tail section. Alloy wheels further add a touch of premium-ness in overall looks. The build quality and fit-n-finish of parts are good.

  • Yamaha Saluto Riding Ergonomics

    Yamaha Saluto

Being a commuter, Saluto offers an upright riding stance with an easy reach to the handlebar including all the switches and slightly forward-set foot-pegs for an overall fatigue-free riding position. Suspension is basic at both ends, however, rear shockers are adjustable for pre-load.

  • Yamaha Saluto Engine

    Yamaha Saluto

Saluto is powered by an 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with Blue-core technology offering a good combination of performance and fuel efficiency. It produces 7.5 PS of power at 7,000 RPM and 8.5 NM of torque at 4,500 RPM.

  • Yamaha Saluto Transmission

    Yamaha Saluto

Saluto comes with a 4-speed manual transmission offering slick gear changes in both up and down directions. Clutch pull is positive and light and provides an overall trouble-free experience.

  • Yamaha Saluto Braking and Safety

Saluto comes with drum brakes at both that provide sufficient braking performance in all conditions. While they provide cost-effectiveness, it would have been nice to get an optional front disc brake as well. Also, tyres are tube-type which means they will deflate instantly in case of a puncture.

  • Yamaha Saluto Mileage

Like a typical commuter motorcycle in the 100cc segment, Saluto is tuned to deliver competitive fuel economy under all riding conditions. Although, fuel tank capacity of 7.2 litres could have been bigger.
